Should We Still Prepare?
The major predicted time frames for the "end of times" have passed. I find it a relief and I do so not because I'm glad it didn't happen but because I never felt like it would occur in these predicted time frames and, most of all, because it's nice to see everyone settled back down to a more balanced state - less fear, less panic, less frantic energy.
So now what? Do we continue preparing? Or do we let it all go? And if we do prepare, what are we preparing for? It's rather nice to sit back and relax after all that fuss but how relaxed should we allow ourselves to get?
I don't care about predicted time frames for the Lord's coming but I do care about what the spirit is teaching me. I do care about discerning between the spirit and the adversary. The adversary is so, incredibly tricky. The adversary teaches us to panic; to be frantic; to believe in time frames that aren't true about Christ's coming; and he'll have us obsess about those preparations (having us think we're doing a good thing when, in fact, we're missing the mark). But the Lord - what a wonderful difference!
When we turn to the Lord - truly and humbly turn our hearts and minds to the Lord and calmly ask, "What do you need me to do Lord?" He will tell you. He will speak to you. And when we take that one step further and calmly and genuinely tell the Lord, "I am here. Use me." He will use you.
The Lord needs more people to come to him and genuinely proclaim, "Use me". He needs more people whose hearts are fully turned to him - whose time and attention aren't constantly distracted by the things of the world and who understand (in a calm and steady way) that Christ is indeed coming. That the Lord does need our help in preparing others for his coming.
The answers that will come from the Lord when we humbly proclaim those two simple, yet powerful words, "Use me" will be different for everyone. The most critical thing we need to prepare for - is the willingness to be stretched. When we give ourselves to the Lord, He will ask things of us that we feel we cannot possibly do. Along with that, Satan will be upset and we will face his wrath.
Yet, miracles will occur.
This process takes time - sometimes years to unfold - similar to how the preparation and timing of the coming of the Savior takes time. But the Lord will be pleased with our efforts. He is in great need of people who will give their will to him.
Sacrifices will be required. Yet miracles will unfold.
As always, I hope the messages shared in this post will be a blessing to you and your family,
